If there was a catastrophic event
If there was an event that killed most of the life on the planet (comet, asteroid, nuclear war) would you rather go quickly or survive the event and live with limited technology, food, etc...?
-
One of the holdouts.
I'd look at the scattered bodies of those who weren't lucky and think, "wow.. they got owned!"
-
Holdouts.
My life goal is to have something to lord over future generations, and being a holdout in a catastrophe is just the thing I'd need.
Me: "I survived the Great Cheesecake Shortage of 2015...it was horrible. Everything had to be made out of bacon."
Everyone else: *gazes of awe and respect*

Hmm...I think I'd rather be one of the holdouts, as well (any day above ground is better than the alternative and all that) but I'm thinking of such a situation where there's literally almost no one left. Small pockets of humans trying to live together and not get killed (especially in the event of a huge war, alien invasion, etc...) with almost no supplies, medicines...things like that.
Sometimes, I wonder if I wouldn't rather just go out with the initial bang and get it over with.

No, I'd much rather Live after that then die.
Think about it, raiding stores everywhere.
you could have everything you ever wanted.
-
I'd rather stay. Hopefully with the few remaining females, after all the other males got wiped out.
-
Depends on the event. Say that there was a virus that wiped off all males from the face of the earth and that I was the only one immune to it. For the good of humanity, I would put my personal desires aside and very much prefer to be one of the holdouts.

idk i'd like to survive but if all my family went then i'd want to go with them

Survive.
Think of all the free booze you could snatch up and honestly, who would want to pass up the chance to be The Road Warrior?
