After watching the boards this past few days and then looking at what's going on, I'm just curious as to if we can get a "mature" board set up?

18+ - so that way we don't have to worry about offending anyone "under the age"

Reasons: Talk about anything, any form of sig art (no CP or nudity), there's a worthless spam corner - why not a Mature content board.

I find it rather stupid that we're basing the site so hard around rules when we're talking to kids who aren't even "allowed" to buy the game they're playing.

Example:

LEFT 4 DEAD
M - for Mature (+17)
Blood and Gore
Intense Violence
Language

HALF LIFE 2
M - for Mature (+17)
Blood and Gore
Intense Violence
Language

GOD OF WAR
M - for Mature (+17)
Blood and Gore
Intense Violence
Language
Nudity

Do as I say, Not as I do?

motion denied

kids playing games they aren't allowed to buy isn't our department, that's the parents, I can't tell them how to raise their kids without sounding disrespectful

you can talk about the blood and gore and violence, we mostly enforce the rules on nudity, and we are very easy towards language as well.

YAH!
We'd probably stray away from it.

....

Or would we?

Uh, yeah? Duh. Lol.

I was making the obvious statement of NOT posting CP or nudity - not asking for it to be allowed. -_-;

I'd post recipies for babies in the mature section.
THEN I'D USE DIRTY WORDS LIKE POPPYCOCK!

I am sooo badass.

Linux made his decision... and I support it. I wouldn't want to miss out on anything. :) And it can't really be that hard to post messages that are appropriate; I do it without even thinking.

Yea, this isn't the first time this was suggested. You shouldn't need to swear in everyone post to get your point across. Swearing just makes you sound ignorant.

Not always.

I think swearing is pretty frakkin' fun sometimes, depending on what it's about and where you're headed with it. Lol.

Swearing adds to the fun.

it's not like you HAVE TO SWEAR EVERY POST OMG

but it's somewhere you CAN.
I think that was the point.
Not "I WANT TO SWEAR WITH THE FORCE OF A THOUSAND SUNS".

I don't really care anyways.
I'll still say poppycock.
See! There I go, heheeheee.

..I don't giggle. that was just wrong.

I think it's more of not having to watch your mouth.
My whole forum is a 'mature' forum. Lol. I hate when forums are like OMG you said the F word! STOP!
Forums have the power to change words. Or ban them from even being said.

sounds like school. hard to limit words around some teachers haha. One teacher doesnt care if you swear, let if slip in another class and you get in trouble
