How? I've seen many people on gf with sigs, so I want to upload my own.

no need to apologize, just read the FAQs, you'll have a lot of basic questions answered with ease. tells you how to upload, when you can upload, the rules of the sig, etc.

If you take a mundane person, who hasn't the faintest clue how to do something - throwing a bunch of crappy rules and text at him, isn't going to train or teach him...

you have to let them learn to do some things themselves

you are free to make your own tutorial and post it in forum talk. I don't mind.
