Any amount, be it 99 cents a month upwards, or something like cents per vid. I personally wouldn't. I just bring this up as I watched a Davidsfarm vid and the newspaper he reads in his vid suggest Youtube could do such a thing and I want to gauge how dedicated the hardcore users are and their responses, me personally am a very dedicated viewer and have watched 8k+ vids now and I will never pay a cent to view something off of youtube, I will simply move on to another site or something that pops up thats built over night to catch the free fall of youtube racing away from youtube which I assume would be a lot of internet traffic for video sites to potentially pick up

i wouldn't pay because there are tons of clone sites - and i could make my own with a simple script
and I'm not the largest youtube user anyway.

I wouldn't pay first off because you could probably find the vids some where else. Also, youtube has been crap lately and won;t let me see half there vids. It says something about it not existing anymore, even when my friend is watching it at the exact same moment.

"I won't Pay, I won't Paya....Noo Waaaay.."
NO, NO, NO. I would not pay for that condenced stuff. You are also correct that there are soo many clone sites you can always find your content unsensored elsewhere^^
If they started charging, then only the true addicts and the guys making money doing videos would join.

Of course not, it wouldn't be worth it. Like Linux said, there are tons of other sites to use. I think they would lose a lot of views if they did this.

YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter - these idiotic ways to keep in touch with people who you don't really care about are only popular because they all have one thing in common.
-- Free.
Now - Like Guild Wars, Counter Strike, or other 1TP games, if they gave them enough worth-while apps and extra features, then a 1TP might draw people in still...
- but the incentives have to be HELLA Good... :/
I doubt it can be done.

The internet is forcing us to reimagine the value of things.
Shamefully, something is only worth mass dispersal to the public if it makes money, otherwise it withers and dies. Youtube is a lovely thing that costs more money than it makes, but has intangible value.
Too bad we don't yet care about that.
Fb may move in the direction of becoming a subscription service.

Only whores and emo's use Myspace. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're the latter, due to your signature of some emo band leader... oyie.

Follower: an emo quality. And in hand with not being able to be who you were meant and made to be, instead of what your friends think is cool and popular.

your GF Profile is customizable...
i hate all but youtube from that list - well hate is a strong word....I really really really hate them - people use to use facebook and myspace as a way of showing popularity which is sad imo. Youtube never did that!
not that i know of...

It's like myspace.. only you get to see their face and hear their voice.

No! I will not view any videos on Youtube if it starts to charge its viewers to watch videos. Youtube is founded on the dispersing of video clips. Already, Youtube has ticked me off when they began to remove audio from videos because of copyright laws. If Youtube does decide to charge to view videos, I will direct my attention to Google Videos or something of the sort.

If they make you charge to use youtube, they would lose so many users. The amount of users would at least cut in half. I couldn't see them doing it.

I wouldn't even give youtube a second thought if they chose to start charging... I'd skip past and move on to the next site..

They should charge a 1 time 99 cents fee or something not much more than that per upload anyways, it would instantly cut some garbage vids out and it would instantly generate new revenue. I'm sure they'll just do the simple thing of spamming us to death with ads though.

That's actually a smart idea, but then the Tube whores might not be so apt to continue posting video blogs and stupid crap. They'll just find something else that's free-video to promote.

I will never pay a website for their services unless absolutely necessary. Youtube definitely falls into the category of not absolutely necessary.

They already are ramming advertisement at your eyes with daggers everytime you watch a popular video.
i watched over 13k vids, and youtube will lose my respect if they make you pay for this godly site.
