Playstation 3 YLOD (Yellow Light of Death)

My PS3 got the YLOD....I don't know what to do...if I should try to fix it myself or send it into sony. BTW-my killzone 2 is stuck inside =[

Send it back to Sony, from past stories of this happening, they'll just send you a new one.

you won't have to pay if the warranty is still valid - although there is a lot to read on the warranty (I'm not very familiar with the warranty of the PS3 though) and I agree with jak and knibbler, call sony and see what they say - after all, they are the PS3 experts.

Force it open to get the disc back for KZ2.
Buy a new PS2 since they're under 100 now. ;)

Careful if you send it back and you had one of the original "good" ones because they'll send you one of the newer and arguably cheaply made ones.

Believe it or not my ps3 broke. Won't play any kind of discs. You can just sit there on it and not do anything ;( Gonna call them up and yell !! Have only had it since DEC last year...what the deuce.
