Intro-
I bought this game mainly because me and 4 of my friends thought it would be cool to Co-op. even though we all have Left4Dead we wanted something new and Killing floor is only $20. See if it was worth it below..
Gameplay-An obvious comparison in everyone's mind is Left4Dead, so I'll go ahead and get that out of the way. Technically Killing floor is the better game the graphics are better, the atmosphere is a lot more creepy, the effects are better, more guns and features.
A few things it is lacking; no story what so ever and there's only 6 Maps, which means it gets old fast but give it a couple months and there will be more Player made maps then you can play, seeing as it was made on the Unreal engine, Millions of people already know how to make maps on the Unreal Editor. Hell even I do.
Now basically the gameplay consist of you on a Map and your goal is to stay alive through 10+ waves of zombies and at the end you fight the Boss Zombie which can be very hard depending on the difficulty, which are Beginner, Normal, Hard, Suicidal. The names are legit, play on beginner it's literally a walk in the park but with that annoying fly buzzing around your head. Play on Normal and you pretty much have to play it the way it was meant to be played, 3 or more players. Play on hard you will need 6 and Team work. Play on suicidal and your pretty much screwed unless you have 6 players with great teamwork and strategy.
I'll run you through the Typical game.
First you will choose your Perk which are; Field Medic, Support Specialist, Sharp Shooter, Commando, Berserker, FireBug. Each Perk gives you a certain Bonus Ex. Field Medic can heal with the syringe 10% Faster and the Berserker can do 10% more Melee Damage the more you play with each Perk the better they will get by Leveling up and your bonus will go from 10% to 20% and so on.
Second once you enter the Map you start with nothing but a pistol. Usually you want to find a good place to defend yourself you wont be running around in the open usually you will want to Weld a door shut if there's two or three entrances and make it so there's only one. once you weld the doors the Zombies can break through but it will take awhile. after the first wave you can go find the Weapon trader and buy any weapon you can afford, the weapon selection is pretty big on harder difficulties it's usually a good idea to have a Medic that goes around healing everyone with his syringe. basically that's it, which would get really old but there's so many customizations you can do with the zombies it keeps it interesting enough.

Graphics-The Graphics are Pretty good about as good as Gears of war2. They have a nice little Slow-mo effect when ever you get a head shot which gives you an amazing rush. The flashing lights and shadows make for a very creepy Atmosphere.

Story-As Far as I know there's very little story, basically a Science project went bad then evil brain loving mutants come out and want to kill everyone. typical Zombie Horror story. But they are planing on adding a Story mode eventually.

Final Thoughts-
Overall for $20 on steam it's a VERY good game. very intense and exciting Especially with the Random Death Metal Break outs, though the AI isn't as good as Left4Deads it's alot harder.
My Score-
8.5 out of 10
