I'm being treated for swine flu. No joke.


Yesterday morning I woke up feeling like crap and thought it was just a cold or flu till i started having a temp near 104 and felt like crap.

I have just about every symptom.
I'm taking a crap load of meds to end it and take my fever down. The doctor says I can not leave the house for 5 days.

swine flu symptoms are the same as the regular flu - a few weeks back i had the flu, not sure if it was swine related or not but i couldn't get out of bed or anything but I never got diagnosed with anything

and swine flu doesn't seem to be that dangerous, people thought it would turn out killing millions worldwide but so far, only a few deaths and most of those people already had other complications.

so be brave my friend! and your doctor can't really determine if it's the H1N1 virus or not - your blood work has to be sent to the CDC and they are the only ones that can confirm the version of the virus now - same here in NYC even with almost 500k people being infected with the virus. (not sure where they got that number but it's been in the news for a few days)

your doctor is stupid for jumping to conclusions like that - you can't be "almost sure" about diseases when you're a doctor. you have hunches and you test them AND THEN you tell the patient. getting the patient worried about something they MAY NOT have is just unethical imo (for doctors anyway)
