I haven't played this game in more than a decade, and starting tonight throughout the week I will be playing, who still has it and wants to join me in replaying one of the gems from the 16 bit era. Who has never played it and why haven't you?

I bought a snes from a flea market about 4 months ago. I also bought Super Mario World and a Mortal Kombat game for it. Sadly the AV cable thing didn't work for it. Or at least I thought it was that. So I took it back and got an Atari instead. I don't tihnk I ever really played Super Mario World though.

Get and emulator and a ROM. It is much better than the console. Most of the consoles that I have seen are all worn down now.
But Super Mario World is fun. I was going to actually take time out of my day to relax and play it, but all hell broke loose around the house, so I lost my chance to relax and play it.

I refuse. playing on consoles will always be better in my eyes. Anyways the console he bought is not notch, you could sell the dude that sold it to him took care of it and didn't smoke because the console is still grey. The cord was working fine all day as my uncle was playing Tecmo SB 3 and Ken Griffey Jr. Winning Run, so hopefully tonight I get to play SMW

Understandable.
Have you ever hear of Games Plus? You should be able to get any thing you want in that store, ranging from Atari to the Newest Consoles. This include games, consoles, and accessories.

wow I'm so rusty, it took me till 71 seconds left to beat the first level to the left. I even dies once gahh
got through yoshi's world 2 just fine
3 gave me a lil trouble, lost a man and took me to 54 seconds left to beat it
god damn, the donut plains ghost house owned me for like 10 minutes :/
just got me first game over, lost 7 lives on Donut Plains 3 and then the final 3 on DP4 :(
another game over, funny thing is I got through DP3 without losing a live, DP4 took 5. Also kinda sucks that they take all your points away, I was at 285k before my first Game Over, more tomorrow night I suppose. I don't think I could take more failure tonight.

Its not an online store. But if you ever come across one, I am sure you will not be disappointed. The ones in my area do not do PC games, but they have some nice movie discounts too.

I guess you've never ran across one of my rants, but this area is forever concealed due to the elk and school board. both have gotten many porjects ousted from the area. hell despite have the 3rd largest area for a city in PA and a population of 15k we dont even have a gamestop, we have to 40 minutes to get to either one north or south of us
Games Plus - Store Info (http://www.games-plus.com/storeinfo.htm)
Is this what your talking about? It's seems like a 1 store deal that's no where near me.

I have never been to that store. The ones that I have been to are in Texas.

emulators on pc's aren't so bad if you use a controller of some kind.
For example when I play N64/Snes roms myself I use my ps2 controller connected to my usb/ps2 adapter.
It's actually not that bad.
---back to the post subject---
I actually burned through this game for my second third full run through not even a week ago. Good luck mate!

I used to have a real nice controller made for it. But now I have something new because the one I did have broke.
Oh yeah, my wife and I just beat the second castle with 50 lives up. Okay, Okay, I beat it and she watched, because she died on her turn. lol

Okay question guys as my memory is false or hazy.
1) Is it just my game or do all SMW drop yours lives to 5 and delete all your points after saving and turning off the system
2) Is or is there not a yoshi type thing in world 2, if not which game as I defiantly remember one of the SNES mario games have a yoshi thing where I did a glitch to reach 99 lives.

I couldn't find one to what I was talking about maybe it doesn't exist there, but here is another in the following
YouTube - Super Mario World - Infinite Life Glitch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pYopu5gOjw)
This is the visual proof that i'm not insane in thinking theres an area though ,
YouTube - Super Mario World Level 13-Top Secret Area (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8CPDu4cd4w)
All I vaguely remember is jumping into the top screen where you can't see, and seeing green shrooms fall down, then you left, came back and more to your eatings
