Well, I think there are at least two movies deserving this title. These are Terminator 4 and Transformers 2. What do you think?

P.S. To moderators: sorry for possible writing to a wrong category but I didn't find any other category for general chat.

-:: Try looking before dumping this on a Left 4 Dead topic ::-

terminator 4 was okay, but not the best by a long shot. a wee bit too predictable imo.
ice age 3 was ace. though a bit O.o with the plot.
i can not, for the life of me, remember any really good movies that came out earlier this year... though there must be some.... high school musical 3!! JK JK i hate that piece of ham acting with it's cliched and suicidily boring plot, which gives the completely wrong impression to moronic children as to what high school is gonna be like.

the hangover was pretty good. and if blood is anything like the anime, it should be a qualifier.

Ew. no. The most overrated piece of crud to hit both the shelves and the screen.
Harry Potter was a kids book. How in heck, does what happen in the final books classify as childrens material?
Edit Deleted them. very, very sorry about spoilers for those of you who havent read the books. my bad. didn't think at all :( /Edit
(sorry, that was slightly off-topic. I used to love HP, completely despise it now)
But, seriously, the acting in ALL the Potter movies leave so, so much to be desired. So though it may be the best at the box office, it is by far not the best movie released to the public this year.
:)

Harry Potter was a kids book. How in heck, does killing a pregnent woman, an old man, a twin and many, many others classify as childrens material?

I'm sorry. I read this and thought you actually were an actor who made millions over "a piece of crud".

Your opinion is justified, but I sorely think you need to have better reasoning than the decent acting job that all those European kids are putting on. Enough that they're making hand-over-fist money and getting other gigs.

I actually really like the movies. Even going back to watch the little kids in the Sorcerer's stone.

And since when was killing people not for kids?
80% of the games on the market kill people.
90% of the movies or television have someone die in an episode / film.
99% of the EVENING NEWS has someone raped or killed.

So... Who cares about some fictional movie / book.
It's how she wrote it and wanted it to go.

This forum alone is a bit of an oxymoron.

You can't cuss. You can't say nasty or vulgar things. You cant post porn sprays, nudity, or anything of the sort.

But we're a forum that discusses movies and games where people are murdered mercilessly, sexed up all over, cussing and violence are the nature of the beast.

Doesn't make sense, but it's how Linux wants it.

So - I think, honestly, this entire thread is a bit off kilter, because it's what is the Movie of the Year, in the middle of 2009.

So HP isn't even out yet, therefore, it shouldn't be on the role yet.
