I start school Tuesday and I am NOT looking forward to it.

The one and only nerd who hates school is before you.

... i've been at school for over a week now. But i get most of this week off XD Doctors tomorrow, so skivving art (thank-god, my teacher is a complete nut-case). An open day on wed, so going in for prefecting first block then visiting a science-farm thing O.o. And another open day on thursday (but i have to stay at school that day, ¬.¬ )

Haha. i thought most nerds ahted school? 'cos of the large quantities of jerks and what-not.

It's not the jerks that bother me, I have enough friends to stay safe from that and I'm not opposed to getting into a scuffle if someone is seriously bothering me, it's the fact that I'm forced to sit in a stuffy and musty hellhole for seven hours. Not to mention, US schools hardly teach academics anymore, they more or less do the job of the parents in giving us moral and social lessons.

I despise the education camps with every fiber of my being.

:( yeah.. i heard that in some schools, they're not even allowed to teach the theory of evolution! (sorry if this ffends those of us with strong religious beliefs). But if they teach you about religion and all that, surely it's reasonable to teach Scientific theory's aswell... Is your school like that?

My school is luckily not too heavily religious. Well, the teachers are and of course they attempt to imprint their beliefs on us, but all things considered the curriculum is decently unbiased.

Well, religiously anyway. You can still find sneaky propaganda added to just about everything.

'cos the English teacher marks your interpreatation of the text against their own and i always got bad marks 'cos i had such a weird way of thinking he couldn't understand where i'd got things from. whereas i couldn;t understand what he was goin on about

There's no way i could ever get my nose done lol. I have a constant cold, so i'd probably rip it out myself by accident. But i think the eyebrow wouldn;t be so bad. Though i'll wait till i'm 18 before i seriously start to think about it.

Gangs with guys who wear joggers with their hands stuck down their boxers and girls who cat-fight, with orange faces. And who start fights at the back entrance to school. And are generally just an eyesore.

Tbh, i know very little about gang culture. ( lol. i sound posh). Tend to keep out of that ****. But i know a lot of people carry knives with them, and i knew someone who got stabbed when his friend came to his birthdaay party and some guy followed him, broke into the house and stabbed the birthday boy. He was in hospital for ages.
I know there's plenty of fistfights, very few shootings (much more in london and england i think.) but a high nuber of stabbings and general vioence, vandalism, disruptiveness and all the rest.

Chavs are very close to neds. There's a few diferences - i believe chavs wear more burberry. But i can't think of any substantial differences :S
It's generally chavs and neds in gangs. I've never heard of a gang of punks or what not.

I read online all the time about chavs, and I've heard of neds, I don't have a good image in my mind of what they are though. Chavs to me sound like the US equivalent of a gangsta wannabe. They only fight you in large packs and make a lot of noise, but other than the occasional jumping they're fairly harmless.

Yeah. I avoid the big groups of them. But ages ago they took on me and my friends, only it was just me. And i don't believe in serious violence (unless it's to prevent rape or death or gbh or something). So this ned was pulling out my hair and pulling my arm in a weird way an i just lay there hoping she would get bored soon. And it worked - they hadn't expected me to just take it so they sorta acted like they won and eventually walked away. It was rather annoying - i had a clump of hair missing for ages.

Years ago, i used to hang out with a couple of really gothy people and they were always getting jumped. They generally won though. (except some of them, like me, were pascifists)

They're fairly harmless, but can be very annoying. Like, i think some neds had a grudge against my next door neighbour, and painted our garage wall in a variety of colours and words. that was very weird. But those are all the run-ins i've had.

Because they weren't worth my energy. They pulled my hair. Ow. They didn;t actually cause any bruises or anything. there was no chance of me seriously getting hurt by that one girl, unless i retaliated at which point, her friends would have joined in. And i'm only so good at kick-boxing. I can't take on 4 of them at once. If they'd tried anything serious i probably would have defended myself, but i didn't deem it nescessary.
also, i was scared i'd lose control of myself. And i probably would have gone over the top, landed them in hospital and gotten in **** myself. I've lost control once and i never want to do that again. not a nice experince.
Besides, the ***** will end up some prostritute desperate for heroin. Her lifes gonna be **** enough without my retaliating

Honour (in this instance, and my opinion) would be to accept a fair fight, for a good reason. And if it had been, i would've fought back (well, i would've won. Kick boxer against cat-fighting-style woman lol.) But because it was for no reason, i wasn't going to sink to her level. I respected myself enough to see her as not being a threat.

hmmm... about 4 years now? not extensively, just about once a week. I do it for funsies and for stress relief. But it sucks 'cos only 2 people will pair with me. Everyone else is too scared XD I recently got to pair with one of my best mates who has a really strong punch (which she uses frequently. the bruises i get *cries* ) because she never holds back. We just discovered that i was stronger even when i was holding back XD that's what the gym does for ya.

What about you? you do any sports or whatnot?

Fairs enough. I had friends who took big wooden sticks and fought each other as if the sticks were swords... that was a bit weird. But each to their own i suppose.
What's even weirder are runners. i just can;t see the attraction in running in a circle or a straight line
