DJ Equipments

Anyone here what kind of equips a starter DJ would need? No mixing or anything, just something to be able to play at parties. I've never tried this - Usually just hook up my computer if needed but the situation is a bit different for an upcoming project. I have absolutely 0 experience in DJ equipments (never looked into it because I never had to)

I've already researched some but it always helps to get people to share their first hand experiences.

I only mixed a couple of songs, im not that great a being a DJ. but i just know i used this on my table.

thanks but I wasn't talking about software, I was asking about hardware.

Hardware... sorry man I have 0 exp. in hardware. I checked some out in electronic stores they range from about $200 till like $1200 or even more. There's just a mixer with the transition slider or like a whole set where you have like 4 different songs played.

I'd recommend ask the guy at the store I'm sure he knows best. All I ever used was Virtual DJ
