I like the first one better because the second one seems a bit blurry. I see you are trying to be a bit abstract but sharpening the text would help a lot more in my opinion. The text is a lot better in the second one since it doesn't look like you used a crayon to write like the first (no offense) - but since it is the title screen, you don't need too much detail. You also don't want to hurt people's eyes with the blurry. White text may help as well.

Well, I did both in Gimp but they were both done differently. The second one uses an actual font while the first I used my mouse to draw everything.

The colors in both have to stay since gray is the main thing going on in the game. I likely won't update them again but perhaps a touch up on the second one. Does it look blurry? I don't think I used blur but perhaps it's imageshack's fault. Most of my players agreed the second one was better. I tried putting in the other phrases onto the second one but they never looks right in it...

Understandable on the color, and yeah it's pretty blurry for me. Can't stare at it for too long.

My eyes aren't what they used to be, so I find the first one more "durable" for my eyes. But it could be imageshack. Use the GF Image host here and see if it's the same effect here.
