I don't have the money to buy whatever comes around so I prefer to buy few games that I play for a long time.

Plus I don't like wasting money in general so if I were to buy a game and only play it for a little while and then never play it again I would be sad.
SAD.

I usually purchase all the big games like Borderlands, Dragon Age, etc. Especially the ones that get better than 85 on metacritic. It helps that I get a discount so...yeah.....usually I'll check them out first though before I buy them though. I probably spend about a quarter of my paycheck per month on games.....

I only buy a few games at a time, I generally play the games for a very long time. For example, CS 1.6 - I've played it for years and even played it yesterday for a few mins (even though it bored me after that few mins).

I like to get people to buy me games (or give me money to buy games). I'll only buy a game in summer time and I research before hand. No more spontaneous buys. I rent quite a few aswell (i get free rentals XD).
I don't like a game which won't last forever

I would rather buy few games and play them for a really long time.
Like I would beat the campaign, play it again to find the collectibles, play it again on a different difficulty and so on.
Plus that way I am gaming and saving money

I personally have very few new games (and with new i mean games that came out in 2009 :P but most of the keep me occupied for a very long time, so I'm quiet happy with that =)

I'll only buy games if I know they're good. Like Forza Motorsport 3, I was blown away by the series's previous title. And Assassin's Creed 2, from how much I loved the first game.

I voted for buy and borrow. This is the truth since my roommate and I kind of take turns buying the big games that come out so it evens out. Now I usually buy for PS3 and he get the Xbox 360 games.

I have a tendency to buy one or two new games a week..
I shouldn't do so really, friends and family moan at me for wasting money..
But what can I say.. I enjoy a new gaming experience every so often..

Definately buy a few games then play them for a long time. But Im not buying games right now since I want to save up for a PS3. So Im not buying games for PS2 anymore. Just playing my old ones.

back then (like 3 years ago) I would buy games around summer-fall seasons. Last year alone, I sold those games I bought because they were extremely short and I felt they weren't worth the money, so I got my money back and then some. Recently, I'm finding some really cheap RPG games that I could play, something that I could take my time on, not rush through it all. I could find and buy some off of ebay, but for now, I'm just messing around on the computer with the emulators.

I didn't see an option for the poll that said "You buy as many games as you can & play them for a long time." Sooooz, that's how I like to game. lol I've got a lot of time on my hands, and the genres I like (or at least the ones I got) have awesome games with excellent (imo) replayability. ^^

I buy very few games, and I play them for long periods of time. To help you better understand, the last two times that I have bought games were during Christmas Break 2009, and before that Christmas break 2008. I bought like five games each time, and went through the year with just those games.

i hear ya bud .. sometimes tactical buying is in order .. some of the deals over christmas from places like steam for exmaple were pretty awesome tbh

I try to buy only the games I really want. Sometimes there's a lot, sometimes theres not many. but i don't just go buy every game released. I try to stick to games in a series i know, or maybe 1 or 2 non-familiar series games, but i don't really try new ip's that often (for example, i have no interest in borderlands, dante's, bayonetta, etc)

If I don't play a game, I sell it. Over the course of 09 i bought like....rainbow six vegas, lost planet, god of war collection, gears of war, and Dead Space. I sold lost planet and dead space halfway through cuz they were stupid.

so far in 2010 i bought metal gear solid 2 substance (for collection purposes, not so much playing purposes) and devil may cry 4. i'm gonna be getting a few more games shortly (final fantasy, monster hunter, splinter cell) though. i'm gonna start renting games i'm not 100% sold on though.

I try to but enough games to fill all my freetime, as I dont like to play the same game every day. Actually Im trying to complete a lot of the games I do own before buying new ones.

Unfortunately, you cant really finish monster hunter, and I will never get bored of it. =P

In the first one you couldn't fit every equip in the provided inventory, so sorry try again.

That game was built open ended. You go the credits to role well before you found the games final monster. Its one of those games that are finished when you are.
