GF Gamer of the Year 2009 [Archive]

Welcome to the third annual GF Gamer of the year. Last year we had a Gamer of the Year poll where Rukisuto won best member of the 2008 year. And we have roughly 11 days left of the year and We are now accepting Nominations for Gamer of the year 2009.

There is a curse where the GOTY slowly drifts away from the forum, let's see if it's the same this year. The 2007 winner, Scott, was eventually banned. The 2008 winner, Rukisuto, just disappeared. What will happen to the 2009 winner?

You are allowed to Nominate TWO People. You are allowed to Nominate yourself and that will count as one of two nominations. The 5 people with the highest nominations will be put in a poll in Early January to determine who really was the Gamer of the Year. If there is a tie in nominations, a tie breaker will be used.

The winner of the GOTY will receive a 500 GFP award and all the prestige of the year. The year 2010 is almost here for us, let's remember 2009 as the great year that it was.

need help, I joined this forum today and really got into it, I got some great advice and steared myself clear of multiple gaming problems. But after getting into the site and testing it's features I realised that there are lots of features I am not allowed to access, for example:
Uploading pictures,
editing my profile, etc.

I realised you were an adminastraitor after being involved in several debates including you, so I was wondering if you could give me any advice...??

do I have to pay a membership fee or reach a certain level?

Bullman joined a week before you, no offense to him either, but this is open for those that have been here a while and had some sort of impact on the forum.

Next year I should make everything clear in the thread. This is the third year we are doing this, never had anyone nominated that just joined the forum but I guess as time goes, things change.

You don't have to nominate a second person if you don't have anyone to nominate.

Yeah, it hasn't gone up yet. I plan on doing it this weekend. Had some stuff come up yesterday and today and tomorrow I Have an important meeting to get to and another meeting with someone else on Thursday. So hopefully I'll get it up on Friday.

Well I'm even newer that you Lemon, and only a fraction of the posts etc, and I still somehow managed to get 2 votes which, incidentally, I put down to either drunk posting or an old fashioned typo. I know it's not a massive number etc but it's still a little baffling. I'm sure if I was in your position I'd be very honoured by it all. After all fella, you deserve it along with the others at the top-end of the list.

Anyways, anyone who participates in the forums is awesome in my view and deserving of love. Perhaps a group hug is in order? Or maybe just more games and beer ...
