I have the bf2 demo and it does not work,

got this massge,

Debug assertion failed

bla bla other stuff

text: failed to create d3d device

i am running,

windows xp home edition
service pack 3

can it work? If you tell me were to look i can provide more info

Battlefield 2 is in the list - see if it's something else that is stopping the demo from running. It could be RAM, CPU, etc.

I get to the page after I chose the game, then nothing happens should it promt me to download somthing? Sorry bout my spelling

Yeah, you have to download their software, that's how they scan your PC to see if the game will work. Completely safe.

problem is it says i can not play battlefeild nam but I am playing it so i can not really trust it. I may need more video ram though. how do I get that?

it's not that it can't be trusted, it only tells you if you meet the minimum and recommended requirements to play certain games to the fullest extent. You can still play it but this helps you figure out why you may have trouble loading things such as that error you've been getting.

You need a new graphics card to get more video memory.
