I see a sneaky LFD2 window minimised .. so, you succumbed .. does it have much more to it than multi-play?

Jaykub

It's the l4d server run in terminal. I have to leave it running for the servers in GF servers to work. I have one open for each game but on different displays. Fedora lets you switch between 4 displays on the bottom right hand corner. And from Jacob's post, looks like Ubuntu allows 2. I know CentOS allows 4 as well.

And the game has achievements, campaign mode, survival, etc.

I'm thinking of taking down the l4d server and bringing up the L4D2 server. L4D isn't as popular anymore and campaign is really dead. My connection is only good enough to fit 4 people in L4D before it lags everyone (the game is very network intensive)

Yeah.

And Like I said above, I wasn't going to post my PC desktop so I took a screenshot of my server which is right next to my pc.

Just Checked uptime. Server has been up for 172 days 5 hours 1 minute.

Record is just over 200, I plan on breaking that.

Good god, that's a decent amount of uptime for sure. I've run gaming servers in the past and I think the most I've managed is around 80 before either a drunken night or a tweak too far has brought it crashing down around my ears. These days I don't really have the knowledge for it all, or probably the patience, so I commend you for yours.

Thanks. Over the years I've learned stuff that allows me to keep all my servers up for a while. My hosting server that runs CentOS has been up for 90 days at one point, another server for 101 days. And the server GF is on right now was up for nearly a 120 days (4 months) before a bandwidth issue that shut us down for a day.
