i know this is a strange question, but i was playing dragon age and i grew rather fond of elves. so are there any other rpg games where you create your character and can choose to be an elf? i have fable 2 but i haven't played it yet, but i don't think you can be an elf in that game...

systems are not a problem, as i have all 3

Fable 2: You can only be a female or a male, no elves in the game at all!

Yeah, high elf and dark elf in oblivion.

Sacred 2, you can be an elf (but that's not a good enough reason to buy the game.)
WoW probably has that option.
Neverwinter nights.
Baldurs gate (i think...)

ehh... I thought there'd be a lot more, but no more spring to mind..

1) Find virtually any fantasy RPG
2) Be an Elf
3) ????
4) Profit!

I always seem to play an elf in games like neverwinter nights etc (the top-down view games), but are't always convinced by them in other games. I must say though that one of my dragon age toons was an elf, and he looked rather cool - that's him in the first screenshot in my review: Dragon Age Origins - Gamers Forum (http://www.gamers-forum.com/showthread.php?t=12876)

Bald and tattooed female human warrior was also one of my favourites .. perhaps that says more about me than the game though lol.

well i made this elf girl with like somewhat short hair (for a girl) like pushed and it looked kinda spiked back with like massive amounts of blue eyeliner and a sweet tattoo on one side. idk why i like elves so much

and i thought about elder scrolls series, but how in depth is the character creation? and you can't see your character can you?
i also thought about WoW, but also how in depth is the creation is that? like, can you edit facial features and stuff like in dragon age? i don't really want to spend $14 a month on a game though.

To be honest it's fairly basic compared to DAO, although there are some other aspects that makes things like Oblivion a worthwhile game to play. Oh yeah, from what I remember you don't get to see your character much, as it isn't rly much of a 1st/2nd/3rd person view game .. unless my memory is totally out fo whack. That's kinda why I mentioned NWN2 or the like.

You see your character from the back if you chose to have it 3rd person view. And every time you open the inventory, your character appears on the right.

Customisation is limited... you can fiddle about and deside the characters face shape, tone and colour at the beginning (my elf has red skin). There's a selection of hairstyles to chose from - and you can decide on length and (on some hairstyles) colour. There are no things like tattoos and once you've choosen, that's it done. However, there are so many mods it's likely that there are some with new hairstyles and extra stuff for character design.
You then chose what starsign you were born under (so what greater power you have) and what your class is.
