Well ... I can't say that yet. BUT !! I got a strong feeling it will. Yes Modern Warfare 2 was pure 1337sauce. But we all know that Battlefield is not limited to shooting. It is a heck of alot more than that. Tanks, helis you can ACTUALLY fly along with jets, etc ... you name it. No doubt the single player blew my mind in MW2. It may be the same case here in Bad Company 2 as well. Co-op n multi-player. I am seeing countless of hours online once Bad Company 2 comes out. In the mean time MW2 ... I still need to get a nuke damn it !!! What are ya thought on this ?

O.o Please do tell more ! I am sure many of us would love to know what is coming up in the game. Since you seem to be playing the Beta can you tell us what is there to know. I know I would certainly like a beta review !

I am going to get it for PC, I play better on the PC. Idk how many plan to get it for PC or the other system. Maybe a poll will help ?

Leo...

Battlefield2, Battlefield 2142, battlefield 1942, and Americas Army are just the games I own where you drive tanks, choppers, jets ect. That's not really new or anything.

Its not really a qualifier for making BF:BC2 better than MW2. The lack of dedicated servers for MW2, and all the rampant glitching and modding are the things that ruined the game for a lot of people. Especially on the 360 where its harder to find a good game host (people playing wireless, people with poorly maintained Ethernet cables, people lag glitching rounds to win).

So yeah I hope some newer games do take away from the fan base infinity ward has right now, and I hope they learn a lesson. =P

Bad Company is more realistic in my opinion. Love the use of surround sound in the Bad Company games.

I bought it on Tuesday. Wasn't able to play on-line because the servers were down and haven't had a chance to play yet this week. I am stuck on-call all till tomorrow. Hoping to get some game time in over the weekend. Oh, and I bought it for the PC. Anyone else play it yet? What do you think?

I say, hell no!

MW2 is a multiplayer game and as any other will hold it's ground because not EVERY MW2 player will go over to BC.

I think MW2 is getting a bit old tbh. The hype generated on release far succeeds the hype now that everyone has played it to death. I really used to like Battlefield and haven't played it for a while, so BC2 will be a nice refresher back into the Battlefield series for me.

People play MW2 because they don't like all the vehicles that the BF series incorporates. It will in absolutely no way murder MW2 (sales or activity wise).

It definitely won't 'murder' MW2, the vehicles are a nice addition though, better than those in CoD:WaW which just really annoyed me.

I did have the first Bad Company, but I didn't really like it - controls a bit laggy etc. BC2 definitely looks better though. (I haven't played it yet :3)

I enjoy both game, but for me Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 is much better than Battlefield Bad Company 2. I been LANING the Call of duty series and I am loving it. So for me Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 actually murders Battlefield Bad Company 2.

Bad Company 2 trumps Mw2, but in my opinion that is not exactly a difficult feat.

Bad Company 2 has tanks, helicopters, boats, Destruction 2.0, Gravity etc. and when you add that all up into one big "Rush" game, then the game is incredibly fun. The weapons are also great, and I love how the classes are really well balanced and you need a mix of classes to win; if your team has no medics, you are screwed. If your team has no engineers, your screwed etc. Very well balanced.

Not only that, but the Vietnam DLC is coming out very soon! Cant wait for it...

The only thing Mw2 has over Bad Company 2 is the amount of maps; Bad Company simply does not have nearly as many maps as Mw2, and that is including the DLC [Though to be fair, some of the maps are about 10 times larger than in Mw2].

Aye, 100% agree with this. I didn't really dig the MW games that much at all.

CoD4 wasn't bad though, the main thing that killed the experience for me though was the shocking connection issues I had (Which where remedied in Mw2, luckily) and the abuse of a lot of the perks, especially martyrdom.

Mw2 felt like a rushed, unfinished game that ended up having very little support, but I still somehow ended up playing about 7 full days of it (According to the stats, at least). But then, I decided to move away from the crowd and try out Bad Company 2, which was the greatest decision in my gaming life.

In Mw2, I was limited to going through the door or window to get to an enemy inside a building. In Bad Company 2, I have the choice of improvising by blowing a hole in the wall and running through it into the building. I could also choose to collapse the building ontop of the enemy, or I could make a big hole in the roof and flood the building with helicopter rockets.

So many possibilities...

I dunno if you agree, but I found a lot of the later COD games disappointing mostly in the multiplayer terms .. the maps started to become more and more like deathmatch maps, no matter the game type. The maps back in COD 1 and 2 differed a lot more diversity, and while not as huge as those in BC2 they did offer a lot more scope for gametypes like search and destroy etc. I know a lot of people like capture the flag and deathmatch, but it seemed like the maps specifically were becoming more and more focused that way. I think that's when I started to lose interest .. nothing worse than joining a tactical hardcore server on S&D and being greeted with a tiny map with no real tactical options.

Meh .. this is almost a rant now lol :p

I do agree, back when I was younger I very much enjoyed CoD: Finest Hour and CoD2 on my PC. Those were great games, but I never enjoyed them as much as the Medal of Honor series, which in my opinion made the best WWII games.

I don't know about Black Ops, but in Mw2 even the bigger maps like Wasteland and Afghan felt a lot more like TDM maps than a map you would play something like S&D or Domination. That sucked pretty hard, since I prefer the objective game modes.

However, I think that the perks are a bit more of a problem than the maps when it comes to the modern CoD game. I don't like the idea of perks (Or Killstreaks, for that matter), they always seem to substitute the poor skills of a player. I noticed this a lot in CoD4, when a lot of poor players ran around with Extra Frags, Juggernaught & Martyrdom. I prefer it when it is just you, the weapon you are using and your skill.

Bad Company 2 doesn't have Perks or Killstreaks, so that makes the game much more enjoyable for me. I guess that the vehicle specializations sort of work like perks, but they are pretty subtle and not very effective (Except for secondary weapon).

Yeah indeed .. don't even get me started over the whole 'last man standing' or 'martrydom' fail perks hehe :p

I kinda liked that whole 'shop' and multiplayer customisation idea Black Ops has but I dunno .. when you think about it it's mostly for other people's benefit, and tends to ultimately only add to the rather lame epeen/elitist idiocy that you see some fps people boasting about on forums. I think they could've done more with it really to push the envelope - I think this is one of the reasons why those FPS shooters are the games I buy least - their development/risk taking seems to be a lot slower than in other genres.

I know people like these games to log in, kill some newbs, then leave, but for me something has to be a good step forward before I'm interested, let alone hold my interest for more than a couple of weeks.

Last Man Standing is the ability to get shot by a .50 Caliber bullet through the chest, but still be able to magically whip out a pistol from your ass and kill the sniper from 100 yards away. Its perfectly acceptable, in my opinion!

The Shopping idea is alright, but it has a few flaws. For example, if there is one SMG that is absolutely godlike and overpowered, then people wont have to wait to unlock them. Instead, they can just buy it straight up as soon as they have the credits/money for it, and ignore all the other weapons. It sort of promotes the idea of getting the best weapon straight off, without actually trying out the different weapons.

I personally believe that a skilled player is not a person that does well with one weapon. The person that truly has skill is a person that can do well with any weapon he uses, regardless of whether he likes it or not.

That's actually a bit off the mark.. You still have to get to a certain level to unlock all guns, but once you do you don't have to wait to get certain attachments.

I agree with the rest of the post though.

Yeah, I just realized. I rented the game and found that out soon enough.
