I'm in the same boat as Lemon... single or not, I find Valentine's Day utterly ridiculous. But I hope everyone who enjoys it has a nice one :)

valentine's is just another regular day for me.... wait scratch that, I got this blind date, I dont know if I'm prepared. but oh well, thanks to those in IRC chat, 'be myself' sure, why not.

Had the weirdest dinner ever, but overall a good day. :)

Valentines day is just a scam. it was invented by girls, to make guys do romantic **** for them. like my friend got a bouquet of 12 red roses deliverred to her door....

The day's over for me.
Had the weirdest dinner ever, but overall a good day. :)

Valentines day is just a scam. it was invented by girls, to make guys do romantic **** for them. like my friend got a bouquet of 12 red roses delivered to her door....

I deliver in person. Like a boss. =P

But I didn't get flowers for anyone today. And I don't really do the normal roses and chocolates thing, call it oppositional defiance disorder.

Anyways, I work at a pizza place so I made a heart shaped pizza with all her favorite toppings this year. I like valentines day because of the challenge it presents, solving the problem of how to be romantic when every other guy in the city is doing the exact same thing without completely copying someone.

Then she forced me to go watch the valentines day movie. I could have been watching the Wolfman or Edge of Darkness but noooo...

I'm going to be sad next year because I'm dating an exchange student (we will just call it that, they are going to college in the US for two years), who is going home in 6 months. =(

I think of Valentines Day as more of a reminder of your relationship, rather than a buy-all-you-can day.
Some people don't think about their love, they take it for granted. This is a day they can think about and be happy about being with one another.

Mine was pretty boring, I played some Bioshock 2, played some Guitar Hero 5, and that was about it Lol

I think of it as a holiday for places like Hallmark to make money they don't have. :P hahah then again, that's probably sweetest day... eh, whatever. xD

imo if you need a day or reminder to share time with a loved one then something is clearly very wrong ..

i despise the over-commercialisation of most public holidays tbh, but esp valentine's day because effectively it's mostly a guilt trip. having said that though i had a nice day unhampered by vacuous gestures, and it was more genuine than anything involving roses or fluffy bs.
