Hello! XD
Now I want to play xbox live and I am using my neighbors internet wireless with my laptop, as in I am using their wireless :P Now since it's wireless I have no modem or router of theirs to plug my 360 in but i was wondering if I could plug my xbox into my laptop with the ethernet cable(not crossover) and somehow use the internet from the laptop to play. Now I search on google and got a forum with an answer which was yes. he said

"Its rather simple and yes you can use your regular ethernet cable no need for crossover.

Anyways, go to start > control panel > network connections
in here select your wireless connection and right click on it, in the advanced tab in the internet connection sharing section tick allow network users to connect through this computers internet connection hit ok and it should start working."

Now I tried all this and it gives me and when I do ok in the box where I click the allow comps to connect to this internet it gives me this:

"An Error occurred while Internet Connection Sharing was being enabled. Internet Connection Sharing Cannot be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing."

Can anyone help? If I need to I have the password and username to the router's configuration ( 192.168.0.1 place)

by the way the place says its a D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G High-Speed 3.4GHz Wireless Router. Also the tab says DI-624 which I believe is the model. Thanks alot guys!

Sorry, this might not be the greatest help... but a lot of people would have this problem.

I would try (if you haven't already) typing your exact error message into google and see what comes up.
http://www.google.com.au/search?source=ig&hl=en&q=An+Error+occurred+while+Internet+Connection+Shar ing+was+being+enabled.+Internet+Connection+Sharing +Cannot+be+enabled.+A+LAN+connection+is+already+co nfigured+with+the+IP+address+that+is+required+for+ automatic+IP+addressing.&btnG=Google+Search&meta=

Dunno if that was any help... I'm not the greatest at computers / networking... but I'm sure some other people might be able to come up with a solution for you problem.

Why not just buy that wireless component they have for the x360?

Xbox 360's do not like ICS with a PC from Ethernet. buy the adaptor or get your own internet connection is the easiest way.

They do, you can buy it from a multitude of places, it's ?54.99 in britain @ http://www.play.com (http://www.play.com/) or in America.. $84.99 at http://www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/), and don't say britain is cheaper because ?54.99 = $112 :P
