Anyway, today was kinda strange, well this part of my day particularly.
I come back home from school, log on trillian (instant messaging program if you don't know)

and some person adds me, I was like 'huh, who's this'? so I begin chatting with this person, then suddenly, they start sending me pictures, and they were quite suggestive. quite kinky to be exact. and then I asked her, "how did you find my email? you stalker." after that, it was just replies of nonsense. 'asking to join some site to see adult webcams, all that jazz'

and then, I figured its all generated. like if I say something, it responds with a site or something a 'needy' girl would say in the bedroom. (not mentioning it but you know what I mean)

IN OTHER WORDS:

does this mean that MALWARE or SPYWARE is on my computer or some virus? I did multiple scans and there was nothing. and no, this ain't no April Fools joke, it happened today. dang, I should have recorded that chat and put it on here & see what you guys think.

sounds like ur email's just been picked up and used to contact u with .. if you've already done a scan then i'd put it down to lamefail (yes, that's a technical term *cough*) .. a lot of these are often just bogus crap aimed at getting someone/anyone to click on their fail site, much like the ones you might get in your email .. equally as lame

if the person requested your "friendship" then as jango said, your email/screenname was just picked up somewhere. It happens - emails can be added to "spam lists" where spammers go to spam the email. Has nothing to do with a virus.

Yep I have the same problem, and so do many of my friends.
Stupid bots I just start cussing at then and then eventually delete them after a couple of mins :P
(MSN btw)

email addresses are more likely to become victims of spam lists than anything else. As for lamefail...where did you see that?

Jango said it, way up there.
and isn't there like a better email that blocks mostly spam?

It'll block emails but it'll do nothing to block instant messages - especially if you allow the person to speak to you.

well I blocked them, and hopefully they'll stop contacting me... hopefully. but then again, like linux said, every email is 'targeted' for spam. not the fake-processed-meat, the email type. haha.

and SORRY Jango, I'm serious if you meet me in person. but then again, I try to joke sometimes.
