For those that don't know what an intellectual property (IP) is, it's a new game idea.
The game's name? Pixel.
In the game you play as a character from a videogame called Pixel. See, Pixel is a rouge-like game, much like I Wanna Be The Guy. The child playing it really sucks and it just so happens Pixel has a real bad bug. It keeps track of the number of times a player has died and this kid really sucks, therefore the counter back logs and causes one of the pixels to gain sentience. That pixel is you.
You manage to hack into a temp folder and make that your base and make it so that the computer thinks your just another process to run whenever it's turned on. Luckily this computer only has a really old version of Norton, which doesn't detect you. From then on you learn what it's like to suddenly gain sentience and explore the computer you are in (as you level up, your processing power increases, allowing you to hack more programs and access them).
That is just one bit of the story. I'll send some songs out soon (that I'll make for the game, original soundtrack).
As for the gameplay:
You will explore the various programs the computer has and you two people use this computer. The child who plays a variety of virus inducing games and an adult who likes to gamble. The story involves both people as well. the combat will be standard VX turn-based, because in this case computer time is, compared to humans, the speed of light. At that speed time slows down, allowing for you and the program you might be fighting to essentially take turns sending out processes to fight.
As you level up you can get perks to enhance your abilities when fighting viruses. Think along the lines of perks from Fallout 3. Your character will also change in shape starting out as a simple pixel to something more advanced looking.
Imagine living for 20 years without a single thought of your own and then bam, an original thought was made by you. How would that be? Well, you'll find out.
That's just a bit of the gameplay too. Don't want to spoil too much.
Let me know what you think please. :)
Also, I've got songs that I'd love to receive feedback on. Some are battle, explore, one-time, and home only, meaning those that play in your temp folder home.
