I found this comment page about a story that happened on Sunday.

Links on | Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/posted.php?id=149126144574&share_id=124861807540017&comments=1#s124861807540017)

If you want a quick run down of the story this is it:

Police arrest a young boy, around 12-15 years old I believe, and his brother is there, who is believed to be apart of the crime, he starts screaming and yelling at the police officers almost ensuing a riot. Police officers arrest the 15 year old and he assaults officers and he contiuned to resist violently. He got screwed up badly. SO since he is in jail right now for felony battery charges, resisting arrest, and whatever else. He is screaming Police Bruality.

This is why i am posting this thread for two reason:
1) Police officers were doing their jobs and over 130 people, excluding me, believe the officers are guilty and should lose everything. Mind you these people who say they are guilty have no knowledge of police operations OR anything law enforcement realted, so they are playing into the hatred and how they believe they are better than police officers.
2) The media is giving all police officers, which is over one million, a bad rep always showing stories like this never showing officers doing good.

This is so annoying that people are being so anal towards police officers and stating they dont know how to do their jobs and those who judge havent been to one day of police training! im not a police officer but ive had training!
I believe this to be a serious issue because without law enforcement people will die. There is a double standard in affect in Indianapolis, and it is annoying, when police officers do their job and someone who is pretty much going to be looking at prison time screams Brutality the public screams guilty. BUT if the public sees something like a police officer doing their job arresting someone or anything they will scream that man is innocent your just trying to fill your quota.

The thing is, if you read the comments they will say "They should have used this force, or this force." How can you tell an officer what force to use if you dont even know what the force continuum is??

15 year-old Brandon Johnson said it all started when he was trying to console his 13 year-old brother who had just been arrested for breaking into a house on Fisher Creek Dr.

"I was just trying to find out what happened to my brother," said Johnson.

When police told him to leave and he refused, Johnson said three officers held him down, punched and kicked him in the face.

Something is fishy there. So cops tell you to leave and you don't so they start punching and kicking you unprovoked? I mean, I know there are idiot cops out there but imo, it's more likely for the kid to have actually acted violently than the cops doing anything unprovoked. And his younger brother was just arrested for breaking and entering...why should anyone believe he's an angel? From my experience, older siblings of the same gender can have a LOT of influence on younger ones.

And his mom saying "it has to stop it has to stop it has to stop" got annoying for me...

I'm not jumping to conclusions here, the story could go either way and if I was the investigator/prosecutor in that case, I'd have a good look at the histories of the police offers involved and look into the background of both the kids involved. You can learn a lot about future behavior by looking at past behavior.

See there is the problem Linux, thats what the suspect said. I will state there are bad police officers but when officers have to use alot of force they always get in trouble with the media.

I read the artcile from.. Channel 13 news, which is from my area of course, and they said he was ensuing a riot, fox 59 doesnt say that, and that they believed it was needed action to arrest him for trying to cause a riot. What he was doing was making a big scene yelling and screaming getting more and more people to come outside and see what was happening and LT of IMPD said they believed the situation was about to go from bad to worse so they arrested him, when they tried to arrest him he hit an officer which is a Felony D in my state.

My problem with this is simple the guy is facing up to 10 years in prison so why not scream police brutality to try and get off of it? The suspect will say he was trying to do the right thing and the mean old police officers beat him senseless. Sorry I dont believe criminals because they will lie so the spotlight is off them and placed on the department, and since this is a color of law violation its possible the FBI might get involved if it goes that high.

I totally agree with you
everyone sides with the poor kid but if this kid is hitting and kicking officers they have to use all needs necessary to restrain this kid but just because he is 15 if he is trying to beat up officers he needs to be take down
