Saudi Arabia highest Road Accident Death Toll

An average of 17 Saudi Arabian residents die on the country’s roads each day, a report by the Kingdom’s General Directorate of Traffic has revealed. The news comes after the World Health Organization found Saudi Arabia to have the world’s highest number of deaths from road accidents, which now make up the country’s principal cause of death in adult males aged 16 to 36. First reported by the Saudi daily Arab News, the study found that 6,485 people had died and more than 36,000 were injured in over 485,000 traffic accidents during 2008 and 2009.

well with a death rate of which they have now, and with girls driving means much more crowded streets in return much more accidents. More people speeding and swerving around all the crappy sections on there roads. The death rate sure as hell aint gunna get better.

I just started to drive and I am so scared of it! I just got my permit and just driving itself is scary and reacting to the other drivers

Iceskater, you will get use to it very quickly. There are alot of stupid people out there and they dont give a crap about others. So just keep your eyes open and you will be fine, but if someone hits you it doesnt hurt to have a lead pipe in your car.

Ok ahaha, yes women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia that's why they all have Indonesian/Indian/etc. drivers who are not the best drivers either.

Now driving over here can be a real pain in the a$%, but as long as you stay relaxed you should do fine.

Now Islam actually states that men are superior to women, but during the reign of the Islamic Empire, women actually had a lot more rights than women in the western world. And yes they do have normal jobs for example teachers, nurses or in offices. It's not that bad as the media makes it, trust me.
