Seems that Ford decided to make inflatable seat belts...
Next year, hopefully the company will go worldwide with this new thing.
I dont know, it shows that it might be a choking hazard or.... it might kill someone. We'll see Ford, we'll see.
what do you guys think?

Doubt it'll be a choking hazard but we'll never know until a recall. Interesting idea that they are trying to make it more comfortable to wear rear seat belts. Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't...I wear seat belts anyway.

Ford claims that, since these belts are naturally more comfortable in trials, they should have a positive impact on the low 61 percent rear belt usage rate in the US.



Fat chance on that Ford.

haha. yeah its kinda sad that not that many people wear seat belts man. they either forget or its for 'squares'

You have to wear seat belts in the front no matter what or you get a huge ticket here in NY. it used to be uncomfortable for me but I got used to it after a while.

unless if you have those 'over the chest seatbelts' - like in race cars? those are rather comfortable

In pennslyvania you hardly ever get seatbelt fines. Most times it's only when you get a speeding ticket that they tack a seatbelt fine on as well. Or those certain seatbelt check weekends every now and again

Ah. It's far more strict around here. They even have commercials saying "click it or ticket" lol...I don't know how much the fine is though...I always make sure I have mine on and i usually do 99.99% of the time. Once I drove to class without it on.

Yup, for sure we always make sure when we cross the border to do so. Cause it's even more cause we're out of staters

I could see that as a air bag type thing, cause those belts hurt if they lock up before they should.
