Borderlands complete playthrough

Jesus I haven't been on here for a long time.

I'm looking for anybody who owns the Borderlands on pc. I would like to run through with 4 people beginning to end, notify me if you want to play because nobody likes the game enough to even try my idea it seems.

I have my reservations about the game, but this actually sounds like an AWESOME idea :D
I'd love to hop on and just hang out and chat throughout that whole game... I call being Siren or Hunter though :P or since I already 50'd those classes maybe I could branch out and try rocking the soldier or something... dunno that the Berserker is really my type...

I think it would be a very interesting social activity to be pinned down with a couple other guys all day long... when/if there is more interest for this we just need to pick a day that works for everyone and I'll get the game reinstalled so we can go at it!

Does anyone else have this for PC or did you all play it on xbox? :P

given that Borderlands is an FPS/RPG it technically qualifies for either section... if the OP wants me to move the thread I'd do it otherwise I think it's fine here.

Do you have Borderlands for PC? I feel like I remember you having this game for some reason

I think you can use the cdkey to activate it in a steam account just like all the other games

Borderlands is currently $10.19 on steam.
also, they have a "buy 3 get 1 free" deal so you could buy a "4-pack" for $30.58 and give 3 copies to your friends.

Nuff said? Who's down to play this game all the way through for 10 bucks?

no joke, I was JUST raging about the end of this game to my roommate (who I convinced should do this with us, btw, so that's another gamer!) I spoiled the end for him, though, cause I had to complain XD

They rushed that game to the shelf and evidence of undeveloped game elements are all over the place :( But it's okay... still good fun gameplay and a nice engine...

good enough that I still want to play it again with different people ;D

I own this on the 360, almost level 50. As soon as I reach that, me and a friend are doing Mad Moxxi's Underdome together because it's too hard.

The ending. SUCKED.
Not only was the boss super easy, but they never tell you what is actually there, and that is just NOT ALLOWED.

I hear ya samus the ending disappointed me as well a bit and they boss they could made a bit more challenging. But either way i still enjoyed playing it and its even more fun co oping with a friend or two

Not only was the boss super easy, but they never tell you what is actually there, and that is just NOT ALLOWED.

It's unclear what actually happened at the ending but I read about it in other forums that cleared it up a bit... spoiler for the full ending story:

The girl that keeps contacting you knew that "The Destroyer" existed in the vault and that the story of riches and wealth was fallacy. She/it directed you to the vault because she knew that you were the sole being alive that was capable of killing it, so it was your destiny to be there when the vault was opened. She used the lure of the treasure rumor to ensure you would go to the vault after all.

Once you killed "The Destroyer," the portal closed and would stay so for another 400 years. Nothing exists in the portal but demons who would destroy the world.

It turns out that the girl was a being of questionable sentient nature contacting you through an Atlas satellite. Is she a robot? Is she some spirit? Is she really all knowing or has she just been around a long time? She played you, whatever the case.

The Ninja Clap Trap Assassin means nothing. That little cutscene is just for giggles. (My brother and I were disappointed to discover this when we hoped it hinted to something like a Diablo Cow Run/Dungeon Siege Chicken Run)

At least, that's what I'm pretty sure is the case.

I've got a roommate, an irl friend, a couple GF people (Damage and Muffin), possibly my brother, and possibly another irl friend interested in the idea to play this game straight through.

Can we pick a day on this next weekend and commit to it and plan on how and when to meet up? Weekends are going to work best for people, I figure. I don't have my work schedule for that weekend yet so I can't say which day(s) are out for me just yet...

Yeah it's only a 4 person game. Next weekend is bad for me (I'll be on a garbage pc) but the weekend after that will be perfect. So Diligence pick your two favorite people and we can game.

Is there any chance that you'd have time during the week at all? If you have any days off or get off work/other obligations at a certain time (5pm? What's your time zone?) we could just pick to start at a certain evening with some dinner and game into the wee hours of the morning...

I'm in the EST, as is anyone that I would bring into the equation. Whoever is available on the day that works with the two of us will be the ones to play with us. What do your days during the week this week and next week look like?

Since even the Steam version uses gamespy's servers (as Stickman reports) yours should work with us. I'm using a non-steam version as well, as well is many of the other people I know IRL that would be playing with us.
