my little brother is 11 and play call of duty on ps3 constantly lol. i was with him this weekend and played gears of war 2 and red dead redemption with him and he is really good so i think he may be a little old for a leap frog but then again i dont know to much about them. Id get him a DS or a psp if either are in ur budget plus u can play too! Im gunna read further into this and see whats available for it and all that.

Yeah, I thought leapfrog was for the younger kids who is still learning the basics like math and reading.

I would highly advise AGAINST buying him a leapfrog. that's for people who are in like elementary school and learning stuff.

Go with a DS. There are games appropriate for all ages, and if you want him to play educational games, they have those too.

Go retro!! Get him a gameboy colour! *nods* He'd be the only kool dude in school.
Otherwise, a DS or a psp would be your best bet. Though they're both really expensive :s

either go retro or go modern I say no leapfrog, leapfrog is for 3 year olds, no offence but that is the age recommendation, it is designed to help kids learn math and read at a preschool level

idk, it must be. I mean, buying a leapfrog for a 12 year old seems highly illogical. my 6 year old brother has a DS. this topic obviously wasn't made by spock, maybe it's youth in disguise
