Where did SOTW go?

I went to enter a sig for SOTW 84, but after making the post I noticed something. The topic is back from April. Are you guys not doing SOTW anymore? I enjoy doing SOTW. Sure I may not be the best but it gives me a good reason to practice working with techniques in photoshop, and other image creating tools.

Personally I would like to see this return. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Perhaps they are poof atm due to nothing actually going on to draw them here?

a SotW revival would be awesome... all the reg GFX pros seem to have disappeared even before my time here. If you want it back you're doing it right by necroing the old contest thread. We just need enough people who have the time/want to make sigs.

Yeah as said above, our graphics community slimmed down. The SOTW is still open and I'll open the poll once it gets full but it's not really sig of the "Week" anymore.

We should try Sig of the Month.

That way theres more time, we just have to make sure to bring the topic up once a week or something.

We also had SOTMs. We took the SOTW winners for a full month (usually 4 winners) and put them in the SOTM. But I might just change it all to SOTM instead and accept like 10 entries instead of 6.

I have no problem with a SOTM instead, but perhaps it should be about 12 entries max per time? And maybe also have a stickied thread where people can post suggestions/ideas for future competition themes?

We already had people suggest themes and I don't want to do more than 10 because that's the limit set on vB right now AND we don't get a ton of voters and a poll isn't exciting if everyone has 2 votes each.
