For years, unless you paid for it or had a load of viewers, you couldn't upload videos more than 10 minutes in length. Yesterday they changed it to 15 minutes. Wish they did this a few weeks ago, the alien swarm videos I uploaded had to be cut down because they were too long so the first two levels have a lot of things missing.

Interesting.... Do you know why?

Probably to get more interest, more videos means more views which means more ad money for them.

I've seen like 42 minute long videos, and they weren't like super-popular youtubers either.

That's awesome. I had to re-edit my Bayonetta vids a few times because of the limit. Good to know!

They probably paid for it. I said above that there are two ways to get that and you either pay for special privileges or have extremely popular videos.

I have a professor that puts up educational stuff from time to time and they're usually 30-40 minutes long. He gets maybe a dozen or two views per video so he has to pay for it. I don't know where to sign up for that though, never took much interest to it.

How much do you think it costs? a dollar for 5 more minutes?

It's more of a monthly payment. Doubt that's the price though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're in the exabytes right now.

Wow I would love to see the room that holds all those exabytes.

Plus when i start making some videos people will know my name, and the love of tacos i have.

They have many datacenters just like the main google website. I'd be surprised if it was just one room. But then again...it'd give me the hope I need to start something like that of my own.

If only...

well... since terrabyte hard drives are extremely compact its possible they could internet an entire room using those terrabtye suckers and get the job done
