....the only rap i've listened to (except for some people going - OH RAI!! LISTEN TO THIS. uh... okay...) is Eminem... and even then, it's his stuff from like god knows how many years ago. I could be mistaken, but I don't think the rap culture is quite as prominent here as it is in america. Ned beats are pretty popular here. They're not actually called nd beats... i forget what genre they are - but neds n chavs listen to it... so ned beats. :)

Definitely rock. Modern Heavy Metal such as Lamb of God, Mushroomhead, Mastodon and other bands where I can actually hear what they're saying. Death/Speed/Black Metal is too screamy for me. I hate when they just scream incoherently into the mic. Ick.

This was a tough call! But if I absolutely had to choose between them I'd pick rap. But not like stupid rap (Kayne West, Trey Songs, ect.)

Some people prefer a beat as opposed to instruments. After listening to a lot of rap and electronic music, it takes a while to get used to rock again

i've noticed that most people that are gamers prefer rock. Like, most of the people I know that are serious gamers prefer rock, and most of the people I know that prefer rap aren't big gamers, at least, not big enough to go on a forum. But there are obviously exceptions, this is just something that i noticed for me.

I don't just like dubstep though. I like instrumental hiphop, minimal techno, electro, and even some metal which I wouldn't strictly consider rock.

I voted Rap cause i've listened to it longer. But i like Rock. My roommate has introduced me to a lot of rock bands. I don't know the different styles of rock or anything. But i just enjoy a lot of different things though.

There is some great rap out there. None of it is mainstream, however. And a good proportion of it is not hip hop, but grime, glitch hop, or something else. I tend to focus more on production than the lyrics, though.
