Well, how important is family to you? Is it the most important thing imaginable, or only certain family members you hold dear?

For myself, my immediate family is what's more important to me than my "distant family". They can all rot in holy hell. I'm able to hold grudges for quite a bit. Not even about grudges... I'm just tired of dealing with their bull-****. Constant backstabbing, manipulation... I'm getting sick of a lot of things these days. Those two topics being one facet of dozens.

But yea, I'd say immediate family is pretty important to me, in stark contrast to the other members.

What about you?

Family is extremely important, no question.
Family is what defines you without guidance from your family you wont learn your morals, in some cases that is a good thing, but they are your first and last line of defense when everything happens, they listen, they help, they act.

I love my family, i have a father who is distant yet caring, he doesnt show it, and a mother is close and very caring. my brother is my best friend even though we fight like wild animals every other day.

Im happy for what I got.

very important its the last thing you get when all fails from your life. And basically they are the strong basis of who you are and what you are right now.

My adoptive family is important to me.... and my biological younger brother and his kids...\
I'd kill for any of them in a heartbeat....

The rest can go to hell.

I would kill them for a klondike bar.

Seriously, blood means nothing to me. Red is rich but green is richer.

Are you serious??? :eek1:

Yah dude. I have no emotional attachment to my family, greater than anyone else. They'd be like, a 4/10 on my priorities.

So.... you hate the people who brought you into this world :eek1:

Glad I'm not alone with that divided view. ^_^

Not sure if I could kill the other family members. Unexpected answer though. :eek1:

I don't think there is any reason to have to feel love for your family. So, I'm not going to chew Quiet out if he doesn't love them. We have this belief that you HAVE to love your family, when really they're the same as strangers, except that you are forced to live with them. Who's to say that you are required to regard them as important?

That said, I adore my immediate family and we are very close, luckily. I could see why some people aren't, though. Families exist that don't particularly value each other. I love my extended family, too (well... select members...some of them... ugh -_-), but... mostly just my immediate family. They're wonderful <3

I don't particularly think there's a reason to have some unwritten requirement of love for your family either. I guess it just depends sometimes, on various things.

I'd have to say my cousins from my dad & mom's side of my family, because they're the ones I trust. & my sister & parents too. the rest I hardly see them cause.... of issues. I don't really have a favorite.

eh depends....some are in my cirlce of love while others are shunned. I think who's in your family is who you want to be. i consider some friends family cause thats how we treat each other. but i would go through any a lot of stuff for them.
