Can the xbox 360 still play the original xbox games?

I have quite a few of xbox games that I would like to play time to time, but I can't get rid of them.

I have heard from friends that it cant play the original games, only the 360 games. I dont know, they might be lies.

No they cant because the encoding is different and the xbox can read it, if im not mistaken.

The 360 can play a good handful of XO games, but it's hit or miss as to what games. I don't remember where the list is.

There's a list of games on wikipedia. Generally you can play the bigger games like fable, jade empire, kotor, and halo, but if a game wasn't that big u probably can't play it. of course there are exceptions.

My NEW 360 Slim plays EVERY original Xbox game I have.... including some of the not so big ones....

My older 360 did too....

Even the playboy game it played with no problem....

Sooooooooo yeah I dunno what games it WOULDN'T play...
