We have decided to raise the amount of GFP needed to play a game in the arcade from 0.50 GFP to 1GFP. Earning GFP is very easy and so far we are trying out a 1:1 Post to Arcade play ratio.

The price for an arcade pass has also been changed to 100GFP for a 24 hour period. This one is worth it if you plan on playing a whole lot of games in that 24 hour period.

Please note that when you pay for the arcade pass, you are not entitled to game Jackpots, so you can get the high score but you will not be awarded the jackpot.

We have also increased the requirement for post per day from 1 to 2. This doesn't mean that you have to average 2 posts a day to have access to the arcade, you just need 2 posts in that 24 hour period in order to play the games. It may be strict but it's very easy to get 2 posts. Just click on a thread, read it, and reply with your own thoughts or even open your own discussion point any time.

If you have any questions about the changes please feel free to ask in this thread or create one of your own. Please note that the cost of everything is subject to change as time progresses.

Well.... i wont be playing in the arcade much anymore :(

I dont have enough gfp to use and dont post as much as before..... school and sports

Why not just keep everything the way it is.... its fine

What's the point of increasing the post number?

You may have missed out some conversations. The GFP was becoming pretty useless since many people had thousands and when people have a lot of something, it becomes worthless so this is just a way to get people to spend the points as well as get them to earn the points by posting while benefiting the forum.

Posts from members like you is what keeps this forum alive and active, without people posting, it would be a ghost town and advertisers would pull out and we wouldn't be able to keep the forum online. So everything is meant for the greater good.

Sounds good : D

though with the arcade pass, does it only last 24 hours?
because if 1gfp = 1 arcard game
I don't know if it'd ever be worth it?

Yea, I agree with Lemon, that still doesn't seem worth it, especially with no jackpot

It is, that's why I'm probably going to revise that bit along with the minimum post count and lower it a bit.

I thought I'd be able to change the 24 hours but it won't let me. Also can't enable jackpots, otherwise I would have enabled that to make it more fair.

ZING hahahahaaaa

Forgot to mention that I like the 5 posts a day to play change.

The minimum post needed to play a game was decreased from 5 to 2. Even though we didn't see any of the negative side effects some people mentioned, it was meant to be a trial anyway. But 2 posts is fair for both the gamer and the forum and hopefully when things pick up more in the future, we'll increase it more to be proportional to our growth.

The price for the Arcade pass remains the same - I'm trying to find a way to edit how long it lasts which would probably be better than decreasing the price.
