More specifically, here: Adobe - Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended (https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop)
Photoshop elements is only $80 which is a lot cheaper compared to the CS versions. You can try that out here: Adobe - Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 (https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=en_us)

Photoshop is not free , But it is worth every penny if you know how to use it . You can do some really amazing things with the program. I would just save some money and buy a CS Package . I have CS4, It works great for me .

Lawl. Photoshop ain't free. And the trial only lasts 30 days. It's also.. not so basic. x_x It takes a little usage and knowledge to do good with it.

But there's a TON of online tutorials to help you get started. But yeah... Photoshop isn't free...

Sort of, yeah. I'm sure GIMP is a downgraded version of PS, though.

GIMP (short for the GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free software raster graphics editor. It is primarily employed as an image retouching and editing tool.[3] In addition to free-form drawing, GIMP can accomplish essential image work-flow steps such as resizing, editing, and cropping photos, combining multiple images, and converting between different image formats. GIMP can also be used to create basic animated images in the GIF format. At present, GIMP is usable for amateur or professional work with images intended for viewing on monitors and printing on ink-jet printers.
The product vision for GIMP is to become a high-end graphics application for the editing and creation of original images, icons, graphical elements of web pages and art for user interface elements. One point in GIMP's product vision would see GIMP used for the development of cutting-edge image-processing algorithms.[4]

actually for those that say Gimp is a downgraded version of PhotoShop, I used Gimp for everything I used to do. my current Sig and whatever else I made was in Gimp. once you get used to it Gimp is way easier then PhotoShop, and they've even tried to make it east for co converted PhotoShop users to use. and there are tons of dedicated fansites for it, and plenty of tutorials. I could do just as good and even better with Gimp when I had it compared to a PhotoShop user. and its free

GIMP will be the closes one but the weaknesses of GIMP compare to Photoshop was that there is no blend technique for it just like Photoshop so..
search Google my friend. plenty of blending tutorials for gimp. gimp can do anything PhotoShop. sure it takes more to do to get there but it can do anything PhotoShop can
