Hardest I ever played was zelda ocarina of time when I was a child.

Hardest game i've ever played is either God of War or Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne. God of War I feel is rather cheap at times, and i'm not that great at it so it gets on my nerves. Nocturne, on the other hand, is really hard, as are most Atlus games. The second legitimate boss took me far too long to beat.

Edit: Okay, I've gotten better at God of War. I still think a few sections are really cheap, however.

Yesterday Jango posted the urban dictionary definition on Let's play . It said something about Super Kaizo World so I looked further into it .There is not a single game harder in the world . I would love to see anyone of you make it past the first level . I have yet to be able to get more then 3 seconds into this game .

I remember a while ago playing a game on nes I do believe where it only had 3 levels. It was a ship game.. Where the enemies fired light or dark orbs at you and you had to change to that color so you wouldnt take damage.

I cant remember the name but it was the hardest thing ever

hardest game for me was SOCOM II, never finished it. Got stuck in one of the later missions. But by then, I got that adapter and I played the game online constantly.

thats an entire genre unto itself, called "Bullethell" and has a lot of hard games. Personally I think the 3D isometric bullethell game shown here was the hardest:

If we arent looking at pure reflex difficulty, but a strategy and planning perspective then one of the hardest games in the world is Front mission4. I mean if you really want a ball buster try beating that while casually paying attention to game mechanics and pre mission upgrades.

Your levels will be brutal and merciless and all to cruel in the way they leave you clinging to the hope of victory but dash them two hours later.

well, I think its called 'ikaruga' or somethin like that. it really is in the xbox live arcade & its a shooter. not in 3d though, its like looking down on the plane & just shooting away is what you're doing when you play the game.
but that one looks cool though.

Hardest? Actraiser 1 & 2. Those are RIDICULOUS. Most other games are like childs-play compared to it. Demon souls was pretty "hard" but it got boring really fast due to the poor game-play.. and not really much of a "storyline" at all.

Laugh if you want... Resident Evil - Directors Cut. Running from one side of the map, all the way to the other side to grab an item you need... While having to run back through all the BS you avoided. Bah. I still curse this game to today, but for some reason, deep down, I still love it.

Not going to lie, I think the monster hunter games are some of the hardest. The learning curve seems to kill a lot of people. And it just keeps getting harder. =P

But thats what makes it fun I guess. After thinking about it forever, and that has to be the reason.

Since I'm older the game is so simple for me now, but FF8 use to be the hardest game in the world (which made it SO rewarding for me to beat it), because I didn't fully understand it. I was still in my early school years and didn't fully understand the game, so early on I leveled up a lot thinking it would make the game easier, but in FF8 the enemies levels scale with you giving them great abilities and me none since I didn't have any GFs/summons in the game yet. There was so much I didn't understand about that game the first time I played it.

Also just recently tried to beat Mass Effect 2 on the hardest difficulty, because I noticed that it just so happened to be the only remaining achievement, and I don't think I'll ever get that... I know when I'm outmatched.

I tend not to play hard games because they just piss me off lol but the hardest one I have played is probably... Dark Souls sadly. Maybe Infestation: Survivor Stories just because it's almost impossible to get started in that game without some dbag killing you and taking all your stuff.
