Crysis....mediocre ???

I'm afraid the guys who spent thousands to play this game might be a little disappointed. But Are you surprised? Sure it looks amazing visually, but the gameplay has always looked incredibly weak

most games these days are just aiming towards looks rather than gameplay and thats why i get turned off a lot. I mean, graphics from 2003 are still good lol. But they have to go high def and do stuff to it and just not focus on the gameplay and storyline of the game. i havent read too much about the crysis crisis :D but about what you said scott, sounds like the same thing im trying to say

Crysis is not a dx10 only game.. it runs on both.

It's a shame to hear it's not that great of a game.. well.. if it gives me a umm *edit this out if there's a prob with it linux :P) orgasm from the graphics in DX10 I think I'll be able to justify going DX10.. :D

Haha, tell the spec in the computer section :) Direct X 10 is not a must, it can be played on current Direct X 9 hardware it just won't look as great as if you run it with Direct X 10 hardware.

For Crysis? I don't think there will be a Demo.. I'm trying to get my PC fixed up ready for it.. another friend of mine is getting a $5000 PC and I'm buying it for $6000 so I get $900 after shipping etc. so I can build my PC up :D

By these previews it's looking doubtful.. I got bored of the farcry story pretty fast.. the physics and graphics are awesome of this but the gameplay is somewhat mediocre and the story looks a bit generic..

Yeah Far Cry looked good but it got boring pretty quickly. And that Second campagin on the 360 version was worse.

on FarCry Instincts? Luckily as I don't have an Xbox 360 (yet) I doubt I'll play it.. I just thought "ahh it's probably FarCry but for the 360.. No big deal" It's probably better if your PC is a piece of crap that can't even run Unreal Tournament 98 Since you've not been able to play the originals lol
