The flag says : لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله (read from right to left)
it would sound like this: lā ’ilāha ’illa-llāh muḥammadun rasūlu-llāh *read from left to right now :P
There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

The sword means justice :D

Since the the word "Allah" is in the flag, it's never allowed to be on half-mast or touch the floor

and thanks for the greets :D today is gonna be awesome xD

Yeah back in time, when the whole world evolved about conquering other regions, as you may know the Muslim Empire was rather huge, they had a lot of green banners while going to war. The Quran (the holy book) is mostly green (the cover)

so yeah and a loooot of Muslim nations have green in their flags. Just Saudi decided to make it all green :D haha
:)

Btw the day was awesome! And it was INSANELY CROWDED! people leaning out of the windows with their flags and some people even sprayed their cars green haha it was awesome!

In Jeddah, the city was virtually painted green on Thursday night. Families with their children and young Saudis in their cars and motorcycles were waving the national flag while playing the anthem.
Police too were part of the street celebration as youths standing above their vehicles waving their Saudi flags were looked upon benevolently by the police, who had turned out in large numbers.

To be honest I am completely surprised no one was attacked during Sandi day. If I wanted to make some serious FTOs mad I would do it during something like that.
