A new forum topic

Hi ,I am here to propose that a new forum subject be opened and why I would like it to be opened .
I would like for a new forum topic be opened .
The topic is , Written ( unless you have a better name that's all I cam up with )

Then maybe some sub topics like
- Fiction
- Non-Fiction
- Songs/Poems

Or any other ideas anyone has and would like to post .
Reasons :
If we had this topic I have a lot of home made content I would like to share that may or may not fit to well with the already made topics. I also have a friend who has told me once he is done editing his story he will join the forum . He would like to share the story with you guys as well as forum talk . I am sure there are a lot of people on the forum who have some content that they would like to put into this topic . I know that lemons has said she is fond of the idea . I am not going to put a I do not care option on the poll .
Because if you do not care I would rather you just do not vote . But please if you have a opinion on this vote . If you have any ideas or comments or questions on this subject please do post them .

Yeah I'm for the idea, don't think subforums would be necessary though, until it starts (if it does) getting more active.

Unfortunately I wouldn't have anything to contribute hawhaw.
Also I'd like to mention that it'd be a good replacement for the roleplay forum.

I would, of course, love one, but Linux has stated multiple times about other additions people want that he will consider it once there are enough threads/interest to actually make it worth it.

There's just not enough interest. How often would this ACTUALLY be used? Just post them in "Post Anything" as people have done in the past with their poems. Unless everyone suddenly becomes a poet and posts a million poems, I don't think it will happen.

I have a lot of stuff to post in this , and as I said my friend has a whole book you could post in there . Content wise I think a lot of people do not post songs or poems because there is no section for it . I do not feel like posting a story or song in the post anything section it still feels out of place .

Please open threads in the right category. This thread is a suggestion for the forum and we do have a section for that :)

As for the new board idea, as muffin pointed out, we won't open more boards out of the blue without content to place in them first. If a topic is very popular then it will get its own section. Because I've implemented ideas like this in the past and 95% of them failed within a few months of inception.

And I don't know how posting them in "post anything" would feel out of place since the board is designed to fit everything.

So yeah. if you can generate enough interest from others and get these topics started elsewhere in the forum (a part that exists) then I'll be happy to consider a board of its own.

I am sorry linux I figured this would go in forum talk since it is about the forum . But I reall have a lot of content for this but since you would like to see it first i will start putting it in the post anything area .

You may have a lot of content but you have to understand that people in the past who have suggested boards like this also promised a lot of content but most of them ended up failing. Actually I think all of them failed at some point, I don't think any of our current boards were suggested by anyone since I cleaned it up a little over the weekend. (Official post coming soon).

well I voted yes but the thing I am afraid of is this turning into be something like the role playing forum
but I have tons of story ideas and stuff I could post in this thread or whatever
so that would be kinda a cool idea
but hopefully it will be used..

Thought we were putting them in the Lounge now instead of "Post Anything". And I agree. While there are a few people who would utilize it for a brief time span, I don't think it has enough interest built up to facilitate having it's own board... yet.

Yeah that would be pretty cool to see what all of you guys have to write about . But I can also see where Linux is coming from . Why make a forum nobody may use . So as he said I will continue to put my writing in the lounge . Also I would really like to know who just gave me a negative rep point with the comment EMO. That seems kinda mean . I do not want to go in the red because you gave me a rep point for something I posted in the lounge .

Really , weather it be you or just some other member I would now and then enjoy reading home made written content form user's . Content as to which may not be about video games . But that is just me , I am sure you have plenty of great things to offer to the subject jango .
