Kickfriend is a website that features comics of a funny and/or satirical nature, similar to the style of the Explosm comics!

That site is Brand new as of yesterday so content is a little slim, but is being updated and often! So please feel free to stop by and view the comics!

We're also looking for an artist to submit their own comics!

Looks good so far, and looks like it'll feature stuff I'll find fun & interesting .. I'll definitely check back to see how it develops.

My only advice would be to look for some decent Joomla templates and modules you can use to make your site a little more distinctive. The stock version of Joomla is nice etc, but mostly featureless .. and adding a bit more flavour to your site might make it more aesthetic and likely to encourage regular visitors (and probably more fun for you to keep up-to-date a few months down the line). This is only my opinion ofc mate, so don't take offense .. my comments are meant to be constructive.

As for the templates I completely agree, but my web host was weird when it comes to Joomla! and I have to manually install the templates I think. But I have yet to try it.

For right now I'm just working on getting some comics up to entertain people while I work out the other stuff.

I saw that you're making this site with no cost at all isn't?
You use Wordpress script and some simple theme. And you're also using free co domain.

But I really liking those comic although the drawing...

Maybe you should come up with different designs for the characters considering they look exactly the same as the cyanide and happiness characters on explosm. Just a thought.

There are differences. The comics are inspired by the explosm comics but all ideas are original and completely my own.

yea but the art style from what i've seen is virtually identical.

I do see the similarities. I may contact the Explosm staff to see what kind of rights they may have to said styles to avoid any legal issues. But I imagine there aren't many legal rights to stick figure drawings.

I'd say they're more than just similar. I mean, i'm just sayin that like maybe you should change it so 1. they dont get mad 2. people don't accuse you of ripping off the site or something.
