BEST BAND EVAR!

In case you're unfamiliar with Muse...

They're an alternative rock band that originated in Teignmouth, Devon. They were formed in 1994 and ever since then, they've made a name for themselves with energetic stage performances, comedic tv appearances and political subject matter involved in their music. So far, the band has released five studio albums, of which are:

Showbiz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Showbiz_%28album%29)

Origin of Symmetry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_Symmetry)

Absolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolution_%28album%29)

Black Holes and Revelations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Holes_and_Revelations)

The Resistance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Resistance_%28album%29)

In addition to those five studio albums, they've also released three live albums:

Hullabaloo Soundtrack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hullabaloo_Soundtrack)

Absolution Tour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absolution_Tour)

HAARP
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HAARP_%28album%29)

The members that make up Muse are as follows:

Matt Bellamy - Lead Guitarist/Vocalist/Pianist/Keytar

Dominic Howard - Drummer/Synthesizers/Backing Vocals

Christopher Wolstenholme - Bassist/Backing Vocals/Keyboard/Harmonica

As an example of comedic tv appearances, for one particular show on the BBC network (Live and Kicking) Muse were asked to mime their performance, rather than play the actual song. So, what was to be projected in occurring was a song would play in the background, whilst Muse basically mimed playing their instruments. Instead, Muse made it quite clear that they weren't playing their instruments: Live and Kicking Performance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZZrM_pS98E)

Aye Kelranox, they're a very cool band, I've been an admirer for quite some time. I liked them most around Origin of Symmetry and although I still like some of their stuff a lot of their newer material is a little 'meh' and not as out-there as previous stuff .. but that's cool. However, I still think they own live .. and having seen them at Glastonbury a couple of times and elsewhere (because I'm from the UK - their home country etc) I can honestly attest to their musical ownage. Also, I simply love Hullabaloo .. versions of songs like Citizen Erased (my all-time favourite Muse track, except perhaps tied with New Born/Plug in Baby) are simply awesome during that live show. For me Matt Bellamy is one of the most inspirational guitarists in indie rock for quite some time .. and I mean truly .. not some manufactured idiot with the musical skill of roadkill that you sometimes see people trying to convince you about.

As a side point, I love playing their songs on the guitar too.

I like some of their songs from black holes and absolution, but not too familiar with the other albums aside from Uprising and Plug in Baby

I'd love to see them live someday. Hysteria's my favorite song, by far, with Absolution being my favorite album. I even enjoy the song they made for Twilight 'Neutron Star Collision'. Not a fan of Twilight at all but the song is amazing.
