What PS3 Game Should We Get?

Don't suggest COD. I'm not a big FPS fan (though I did love Bioshock, so I'm somewhat open).

also, we looked through that list and decided that while many of them show promise to at least rent, we want to go ahead and buy ourselves a shiny new Dynasty Warriors game :3

However, there are 3 different Dynasty Warrior 6 titles out there so I was wondering if any of you can distinguish anything between them and make a recommendation for us... we watched some youtube videos but those only tell ya so much, ya know?

There's Dynasty Warriors 6, which looks like vanilla Dynasty Warriors. Nothing wrong with that, it would deliver what we wanted, anyway.

But then there's Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires... which (without trying very hard) I couldn't really see how was different from just normal 6. What's the difference between these two? Is there any reason in your opinion that one is better than the other?

Then there's the one we're leaning towards (because Muffin really likes it and is very persuasive): Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2. It's Dynasty Warriors... except... with... gundams? It looks interesting to me because some gameplay videos reveal that you are much more mobile in a gundam than you are on foot... the game looks a lot more fast paced than vanilla Dynasty Warriors, which I'm rather attracted to, myself. Also, lasers. :D Muffin laments that there are no 'ponies' in this game, however, unlike the other two.


Any pointers between these? Or should we just go ahead and try our luck with the gundams?

It's so good, I haven't been on the forum in days. Nor have I done anything but play Dynasty Warriors with Muffin. A lot. Sometimes we took breaks to eat and sleep... sometimes XD

Well, since this topic has been bumped...

I've played Dynasty Warriors Gundam demo many times through. To summarize, you're in a robot and you kill lots and lots of robots. It's fun

I know. I wish we had gotten it instead of Dynasty Warriors 6. (Well, we would have, if it had been in stock - I WOULD HAVE FORCED HIM BECAUSE AWESOME)

But yeah. We did play a whole lot of DW6. Also now we have PSMove ;D

Move is so much better. It's pretty fun, and I hope someone does something about getting some interesting games out for it. Need to play the demo disc that came with it and see if anything catches my eye.
