If you have tea (not the tea bag) then just boil some water, and put the tea in it and then breathe in the vapor. I usually do that when I have a sore throat. My dad loves Tea so we usually have tea around the house. I'm not sure if the tea in tea bags will work but you could try it if you have no choice.

Also don't put your face directly over the boiling water, try to direct the vapor with something - maybe a metal cover or something and just redirect towards you.

You could try it with regular boiling water too. It wont' have a faster effect but it should work.
