Is there a reason you can't just block them using your web browser?

I know this wont be much help but there is a way, there is a program that allows you to access the router and block stuff and you can disable it with a password and what not. I do not remember this program off the top of my head but im sure someone does.

mostly it depends on the router. mine has this screen.

most routers support custom dns servers though, so if you have that option set up a dns server on your local machine to serve requests for those specific sites from a specific local ip to a bull**** local ip (like 192.168.1.199, any that doesnt have something running on it but is within the subnet) and use your own machine's local ip as the dns server in the router. next time the computer you want to block dhcp's it will get your own machine's ip to use as a dns server and all requests on the network will be router through there.

Leica wins!

I'd just go to 192.168.1.1 in your browser (like leica shows in his pic there) and go poking around for Parental controls/Site blocking/Filters.

Edit the hosts file (which can be opened with notepad) on that particular PC which is typicall located at:

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Type in (for example):

127.0.0.1 google.com

Now google.com will point to your local PC.

Wrong. He only wants to block sites on one PC. It doesn't say anything about not accessing the PC. :D

If he changes the hosts file he's not doing it through the web browser.
