I like the brevity of your post, Leica ;)

Also, this is the best XKCD comic and I think of it all the time while I'm on this forum and elsewhere and frequently quote it IRL when my roommates and trying to get my attention and I'm stubbornly busy on my computer.

I liked the one where there's a substitute math teacher and all the test questions are about velociraptors

there are way better xkcds. for the past year or so, he's been turning out about one profound comic every two months. however, i'm way too lazy at the moment to search for any of them.

You're the first person to understand what I was getting at. (at least, the first person to make it obvious they got it lol)

NO Your wrong! =P

Now We must make lengthy posts debating weather or not your point is valid. The meaning of life is different for every person, while you might seek understanding I just wan to kidnap Lemons and move to Japan and train to be a samurai with a giant robot sensei.

Why does people always have to search for the meaning of life, we are alive and I think thats enough.

I like paecmaker's idea here, we should just be grateful, why does it matter?

the meaning of life is understanding -- particularly self-understanding -- because, as selfish creatures, only a purely selfish act can fully satisfy us. acquiring understanding of yourself is 100% selfish, as what you learn about yourself can benefit nobody else.

you 100% misinterpreted the point of this topic. It's not meant to discuss the "actual" meaning of life.

yes, but i posted something serious and philosophical earlier as a joke, and someone challenged my claim.

good point lol. still, this topic was meant as a joke and having people taking it seriously is...disheartening.
