Any links which say video games are bad for your eyes?
I've googled it, but even then, it comes with things like "video games sharpen eyesight" - i want the OPPOSITE!
I'm doing an essay type thing and i need both sides.

Video games don't cause bad eyes, you look at stuff everyday why would it be different?

Technically Echo video games can actually be harmful to your eyes cause you stare at a fixed spot for possibly HOURS while barely blinking at all.

Then again, video games are not in any way worse for your eyes than watching TV.

So yeah, screens in general are bad for your eyes, so go passive agressive troll somewhere else, Daisysimmions

I can't really provide links, but I gotta say, . . . the 3ds makes my eyes hurt.... UGH. until I didn't know you can turn that effect off! hahah
but the 3d on the games.... yo it hurts my eyes mad bad...

You won't find any links for that, at least not with any valid, verified studies, because it's simply not true.
Watching TV or Playing Games is as hurtful to the eyes as reading a book. Despite the old fairytale, not even CRT monitors damaged your eyes. It was the "keeping your view focused on the same point few inches away from your face for hours" thing that ruined your eyes, but that was even worse with books.


And the thing that Video Games are good for your eyes is just as much bs as the opposite.

i guess it really depends how close you sit to the screen, long term that can screw up your eyes, but if anything i would say a healthy dose of video games is good for your dexterity....which is why i now have cat -like reflexes

No i Dont think so i hav 20/20 vision and ive been playin video games since i was 4 so i wouldnt think so it only hurts ppl if they hav a siezurous problem and the game warns u or if its a scary game and an elderly person is in a room and giv him a heart attack
