Based on what's been shown so far, I'll no doubt be sticking with Windows 7. I don't give a **** about touch screen PCs and the smart phone-esque layout just looks juvenile to me.

I'm extremely torn on this. On the one hand, I agree with you, on the other hand, they're making a giant step forward and it might be a lot better. I wish newer OS's could still play games for like windows 98

Yeah, I could still be swayed, but so far I'm not impressed. Hopefully there will be an option to disable the blocky start screen in favor of the traditional UI.

This would be ideal for my touchscreen laptop ^^

I also like the look of the pattern login... but I have fingerprint on my laptop so I don't need that.

But if you stick to tradition: every other windows is crap. ME was crap, XP was good, Vista was crap, 7 was good so 8 is gonna be crap again and we should wait out for 9.

Haven't gotten around to trying 8 yet so I'm not gonna judge just now.
