I know I've been gone for a while first of all and, I WANT MINECRAFT!!! I going to die if a don't get it soon. But seriously I want it so bad right now. To much I want and need though Hard Drive, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, 360 headset, MINECRAFT! Screw saving up for a PS3 I'm going to buy Minecraft soon.

Well I bought Fortress Craft too but I can't wait for the other chapters so i'm just gonna go ahead and buy Minecraft but i'll still play Fortress Craft when the other chapters come out.

It isn't that great, you will get bored fast, although we are at like v17 now.

Minecraft is pretty fantastic, but your mileage will definitely vary based on how much time you put into it. I mean.. You can literally reshape the entire world, but that takes HUGE amounts of time. It'll be rewarding if you put in the time, but the game isn't really going to help you make "fun" out of it.

Mods are fun if you start to get bored (as you mentioned can happen)... I don't see how they make it a waste of money at all o.o In fact, they increase what you can get out of the game, and you can always uninstall the mods if they start to lose their charm. I think the modding community is one of the best things about the game, to be honest.

And a creeper won't blow it up if you have proper defenses :3

But I can definitely see how Minecraft is not everyone's cup of tea.

Depends on how you play the game. My Minecraft fun comes from building mega objects. I use inventory editors, spawn items. As Never said, legit builds take way too long to finish, and mining is just boring when you're not exploring or looking for rare ore. Without cheating there's no way I'd finish my projects, and I'd be burnt out on the game, so value is added to the game in my case.
