Hi guys i decided im gonna build my first gaming pc and i have a couple of questions i was hoping you guys could help me clarify.

1-What do you think of these parts?
-Intel Core i7-960 Processor 3.20 GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1366
-PNY XLR8 GTX 570 1280 MB
-Intel LGA1366 BOXDX58SO2

2-if you could recommend me a better set up that would be great.

I don't know to much about hardware.
But, for graphics make sure you get Vertex Shader 3.0
All new games NEED it.
And get DirectX113D <- That is what PS3 and 360 uses for shading.

Those are good parts, what kind of a budget do you have?

And you'll also need a case, hard drive, power source, and memory. Optical drive is optional if you already have a preloaded OS in your hard drive.

do remeber that u can overclock the pc later and pick a case that would work well with ur cooling like if u have a lan boy which is air flow to the max it would be silly to get water cooling to keep ur computer cool. :)

i'd recommend the
3.0ghz amd phenom 2 Quad core
i like ur graphics card
