Questions about camera?

hey,I wanna get a entry level camera,my friends suggest me to get a Nikon camera and said it is a favorite among photographers.But I know little about camera,what do you think ?Any other good choices?

I recommend getting a Canon 7D, or Canon 550D (aka. Canon Rebel t2i), its rather expensive, but in Photography, quality plays a big part in it.

Nikon's are crap imo. I have one, my dad has one, Blackleo has one, they all suck in the long run. Mine was awesome the first couple of weeks, and then suddenly, it couldn't take a picture without blurring even if it was flat on a table. Blackleo's one has some other problems.

I'd also recommend a Canon. My sister has a GE that's pretty good. My mom has a Sony that's also really good. That was the first Digital camera (back when everybody didn't have one) in the family and it still runs like new.
