SHELBYVILLE, Tennessee — A man in the state of Tennessee has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for killing his infant son because he bothered him during his video game.

What's wrong with people. Damn that man is sick. And chances are they are also gonna politicize this as a reason why video games are bad.

I never understood the aspect of prison or the death sentence. Guy kills a baby... and gets to go to prison where they get to learn, use the internet, read, exercise, work, watch TV.... sounds harsh, I bet they'll learn their lesson. /facepalm I mean, sure the occaisonal gang-rape but even so.

People fkn suck, that is all.

Yeah maybe the Guy is even looking forward for the gang rape. Our soldiers live in worse conditions than a lot of prisoners.

Why do so many people wish the death penalty? I personally think it should be abolished with 2 life terms, or letting them out at age 80. Why kill them then and let it be over with? That's not as much a punishment in my eyes.

If you want them to pay for what they did, let them sit in prison the rest of their life suffering. And let them out at 85. They've then spent their entire lives in prison. There won't be any friends or family for them, and good luck finding a job. That's how prisoners who get the death penalty should suffer imho.

OT: That's a sickening story. It's just disgusting how often cases like this are popping up and occurring lately. Everyone in the world should have a mental health evaluation before and after the child is born, and even yearly to see that they are mentally/emotionally fit to raise a child.

I totally agree, death penalty does nothing except for let them off easy. I just wish prison life wasn't so 'comfortable'. I don't consider what most of them go through, have so many privileges, suffering.

I thought the same thing. He's lucky though, if he lived in Britain he would have probably done less than 10 years.

Screw lethal injection! If someone kills a child, kill them the exact way they did it to the child. If someone kills another human being period, kill them the exact way their victim died. Or solitary confinement life in prison. That would be punishment. Not our "reform" system. Urghh...

And why did this guy only get 27 years????????????? Shouldn't it have been life at LEAST?

Guess he took his cue from the woman who killed her baby because it wouldn't stop crying while she was trying to play Farmville. -__- What a piece of sht this guy and that woman are. This is disgusting...
